Mambembe feat. Denise Fontoura is a Brasilian music project founded in 2013, Lithuania. The program includes the rhythms of samba, bossa nova, tango, and rhumba. The repertoire consists of the popular Latin American (latino) music. The musicians of the project were brought together by Remigijus Rančys, the younger generation Lithuanian jazz musician, multi-instrumentalist and initiator of various projects. The vocalist, Denise Fontoura (Brazil), is a professional singer singing samba, bossa nova and other South American latin music. The singer also plays traditional Brazilian percussion instrument pandeiro. Paulius Volkovas is one of the brightest and most active guitar masters, playing with bands such as Saulės Kliošas, The Schwings, and The Ditties. Paulius is the guitarist of Giedrė Kilčiauskienė’s solo project. Denis Murašov, a young double bass player, has played with artists such as Martynas Levickis, El Fuego, The Schwings, The Ditties and many more. The drummer of Mambembe is Darius Rudis. The musician is constantly performing in a wide range of Lithuanian and foreign festivals. Darius commonly cooperates with Jazzu, Giedrė Kilčiauskienė, Vytautas Labutis and other well-known performers.
